Fiehnlab in Nature journal feature
"Science has the potential to bring the art of winemaking to a higher level."FiehnLab researchers Kirsten Skogerson and Professor Oliver Fiehn are mentioned in a Nature journal technology feature article "Metabolomics: Wine-omics" reagarding wine metabolomics. NMR and GC-MS technology was used for metabolic profiling of 17 different wines which were also evaluated by a wine tasting panel. Lab member Gert Wohlgemuth who contributed the BinBase algorithm also provided the photo of the wine.
